Cost: $50 to participate (limited to 30 people); $25 to observe (unlimited number)

Description: Please wear all black clothing appropriate for dancing, along with appropriate dance shoes, girls may bring character heels. Please bring water in a refillable container.

About Robin Lewis


Robin Lewis is a veteran of several Broadway stage productions including Disney’s “Beauty & the Beast,” “ Victor Victoria,” “A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Gardens” and “Fosse” (as well as the film version) with Ben Vereen and Anne Reinking, the Off-Broadway production of “The Green Heart” as well as the first national Broadway touring production of Mel Brooks’ “The Producers” starring Jason Alexander and Martin Short. He was also in the national tour of “Beauty & the Beast” and various tours of other productions including “A Chorus Line” and “Hello, Dolly!” among others. His regional performing credits include North Shore Musical Theater, Saint Louis Stages, California Musical Theater, Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera, Baltimore’s Center Stage, and others. He has choreographed for the Oklahoma Lyric Opera, Zachary Scott Theater Center (for which he’s received multiple B.Iden Payne and Austin Critics’ Circle Awards), Zilker Productions and TexARTS (Critics Circle Award-winning) as well as several university and youth productions. Mr. Lewis was voted “Best in Austin” for his choreography and “Keeper of the Fosse Flame” by the Austin Chronicle and the institution he helped to found and for which he currently serves as Artistic Director – TexARTS - has been chronicled as “One to Watch” by Austin publications for its quality of production and educational programming. Mr. Lewis is on faculty at Texas State University and has taught for the University of Texas at Austin, Saint Edward’s University, Concordia University and as guest lecturer for Ballet Austin, the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Oklahoma University, the University of Northern Kentucky, Pacific Coast Performing Arts academy and others nation-wide. He has also guest –taught for and holds membership with the Musical Theater Educators Alliance and the Theater Educators of Texas, among others. He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association.

In my fancy-shmancy dance shoes the hubs gave me for Christmas 3 years ago.
Wonder if I'll be the only mama there.
(well...I betcha I'm the only one there with stretch marks)

yes- one time thing. three hours of Fosse dancing. I'm excited but scared that I'll look like an idiot. At least I'm going with 3 friends.

That sounds like a lot of fun!!! Although I don't know if I'd be brave enough to try it - I've never had much ability to dance. :) I hope you have an awesome time next week!!
